The creators of Zima, a nostalgic alcoholic beverage from the ’90s, aimed to reintroduce it for a limited period, targeting Gen Z with a novel approach. Recognizing Gen Z’s affinity for chatbot interactions with brands, we designed a sentient Zima bottle for social media chats. However, there was a twist. Having “slept” since the ’90s, the bottle was unaware it was now 2017 and was clueless about Gen Z trends, resulting in it perceiving everything from a distinctly ’90s perspective.
