Pixel8r is a prototype light sequencer that allows the orchestration and sequencing of different colored light pulses on a series of cell phones. The application targets the phones utilizing web sockets, allowing a crowd of cell phones to be controlled over the internet from one source. Phones are targeted by use of a URL string that identifies them. The alpha phase will include a system for seat numbers ( ticketing ), a larger number of simultaneous connections, and a system for turning low-resolution video into pixel signals.
